clubs, research and development organizations,
international organizations, student associations,
community and non-profit organizations, radio and
television programs, comparative and international
education departments, global studies programs,
academic journals, development-oriented agencies,
and African & African American studies
programs and departments.
Dr.
Ghelawdewos Araia, professor of African Studies at
Lehman College of the City University of New York,
author, and expert in global studies, is available
for speech engagements during the fall, spring,
and summer periods but appointments must be made
ahead of time:

For radio and television programs, 3 days
ahead of time is required
·
For all other speech engagements, two weeks
notice is required
·
For academic journals, R & D, and policy
consulting, one to two months notice is
preferred but the scheduling can be negotiated
·
Long distance travel ticket and lodging must
be provided by the host
·
Compensations are negotiable
·
Special considerations are made for student
associations
